Workshop

During the festival week we will reserve spaces for interaction with the artists through workshops and residencies.

The starting point of the workshop deals with what defines us as human. This is heightened both through a kind of hyperrealism of human behavior but also by flirting with the tipping point into that which can be considered non-human. Speech, communication, gesture, responsiveness and certain behavioral patterns make up the basic vocabulary of this humanness. But through a layering of multiple tasks, split attentions, and the embodying and physicalizing of both the synthetic and the animal a complex choreography of space, time, meaning and relations emerges.

We will focus on guided movement explorations and then the layering of activities, parameters and time and space co-ordinates into complex practices. These practices are framed performatively, finding how they can be managed by the practitioner and at the same time holding the attention in the spectator.
